Aims

To provide a clinically relevant overview of jaw cysts including their classification, clinical presentation, relevant investigations and management options

Objectives

· To enhance clinical and surgical judgement in the diagnosis and management of jaw cysts

· To strengthen knowledge on radiological features of different jaw cysts

Learning outcomes

Following this session, participants should be able to:

· Be familiar with the WHO 2022 5th Edition classification of jaw cysts

· Consider differential diagnoses and select appropriate investigations

· Describe radiological features of different jaw cysts

· Formulate evidence-based management plans

· Understand recurrence risk and arrange appropriate follow up
