DescriptionThis evening is entirely devoted to Dental Nurses and Student Dental Nurses. These monthly meetings have been set up for Dental Nurses in the south region (Ox/Bucks/Berks/Hamps/I.O.W) to aid networking, sharing ideas through open discussion, support wellbeing and empower Dental Nurses to progress and further their career if they wish to do so. This session will be delivered via MS Teams Webinar. There will be an hour's CPD, followed by an open forum and peer review discussion chaired by our guest speaker and facilitating Tutor. Did you know that Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN) is regarded as one of the most painful disorders known to medicine? Despite that there are very few treatments that are effective, leading 1 in 4 with TN ending their lives to escape the pain. Learn about the condition, it’s an invisible disability that impacts the largest facial nerve, responsible for facial sensation but also for mouth movement. Speaker Emma Marrison-Taylor will share her experience of living with TN for 5 years. She’ll be sharing what it feels like, how it impacts her daily life and what you can do to support people living with TN. GDC Outcomes A, C & D.
