Aims

To enable optimal antimicrobial prescribing.

Objectives
  • To showcase the importance of the appropriate use of antimicrobials, including antibiotics
  • To explore how dentists contribute to reducing antimicrobial resistance
  • To receive and discuss anonymised feedback from the first audit cycle of the BOB ICB AMR Audit
  • To reinforce the current guidelines for effective use of antimicrobials, including antibiotics, in children, young people and adults to enable optimal antimicrobial prescribing.
Learning outcomes

Following this course learners should be able to:

  • Demonstrate recognition of contemporary approaches to antimicrobial management and bacterial resistance reduction.
  • Start and complete the second cycle of the BOB ICB AMR Audit.
