Aims | Aims: . Deepen understanding of embryologic origin and histopathology of odontogenic cysts and tumours. . Support accurate recognition, diagnosis, and surgical decision-making. |
Objectives | Objectives: · To consolidate knowledge of odontogenesis and the histological origin of dental tissues relevant to pathology. · To examine the biological behaviour, clinical presentation, and radiographic features of benign odontogenic cysts and tumours. · To review current WHO classifications and pathological criteria for accurate diagnosis and differential diagnosis. · To correlate histopathological features with embryological origin to support surgical decision-making and treatment planning |
Learning outcomes | Learning Outcomes: · Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the developmental origins of odontogenic tissues and their relevance to pathology. · Identify and classify benign odontogenic cysts and tumours based on clinical, radiological, and histopathological findings. · Differentiate between key cystic and neoplastic lesions using diagnostic criteria informed by tissue origin and behaviour. · Apply pathological knowledge to inform surgical treatment planning and management strategies |
