DescriptionA blend of theory and practice to improve your placement of anterior composites, and your communication with patients about their anterior restoration treatment options. The day combines an overview of the theory of composite placement and a practical opportunity to prepare and fill anterior teeth in phantom heads.

Mr Neil Nathwani is Associate Clinical Professor in restorative dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute. He is the Deputy Programme Director of the Restorative Dental Practice MSc at the Eastman. Neil has worked in both NHS and private practice for the last 16 years and currently works in specialist practices where he accepts referrals from general dental practitioners. He was a specialist clinical tutor at Guys and St Thomas hospital for 3 years prior to his current UCL Eastman post. Neil played an active role in teaching both undergraduates and postgraduates. Neil currently teaches postgraduates on the MSc course as well as other short courses.

Registration from 08:45. Start time : 09:15

Timings for the morning break, 40 minute lunchbreak and a very short afternoon break will be determined by the needs of the attendees.

Reflection and evaluation: 16:15. End of day :16:30

***Refreshments and lunch are not provided; these can be purchased in the nearby hospital cafes, or you may bring your own which can be consumed in the PGC atrium.

The John Lister PGC is at Entrance 4 (SL2 4HL) Maternity/ Paeds. of Wexham Park Hospital, and NOT the main entrance- go straight ahead to Car Park C, then walk to a low brown bricked 60s type building in a hollow on the right as you drive in. You need to pay for parking- you can pay by card but not Amex nor Apple pay etc. NB It can take over 30 minutes to cross Slough from the M4 junction 6. If arriving by train, please allow at least 30 minutes travel from Slough station. There is a local bus, but taxi will be far quicker.
