DescriptionThe webinar will discuss the Day-to-day flow of work, including phased treatments. The webinar will discuss what dental therapist should know to be able to work successfully under both prescription and under direct access.

Rozalia Gombera has over 10 years in Dentistry as a Dental Nurse and Dental Therapist. After gaining her Certificate of higher education in Dental Nursing, she worked as a Dental Nurse in General Practice. She is currently working as a Dental Hygienist and Therapist in Oxfordshire and has BSc (Hons) Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy University of Portsmouth 2023.

Aims

To discuss how to work as an NHS dental therapist, exploring the topics of day flow, effective models, phased treatment and how to work under direct access and a dentists prescription.

Objectives

Discuss how to navigate working under Direct access or working under referral in the NHS system

Discuss how to work under phased treatments for patients with high dental need

Discuss the responsibilities of working in the NHS (referring, teamwork, UDAs)
