Aims | The Working in a regulated profession session aims to improve participant understanding of: 1. How the GDC works to maintain public safety and confidence in the dental profession. 2. What registrants need to do to maintain their GDC registration, including keeping skills up to date through CPD. 3. Professionalism complaint handling and public and patient expectations of dental professionals. 4. Where registrants can turn for further support and guidance. |
Objectives | Objectives: The session supports the following development outcomes: Development Outcome A: Effective communication with patients, the dental team and others across dentistry, including when obtaining consent, dealing with complaints, and raising concerns when patients are at risk.
