To gain an understanding of safe use of xray equipment in the UK

To be aware of current national policies governing the use of xray equipment in England

Objectives

Objectives:

To develop an understanding of the key messages contained within the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017.

To be understand the grading process of diagnostic images, for the purpose of quality assurance

Identify the legislation relating to dental radiography

To develop an understanding of the key messages contained within the Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017 and Ionising Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations 2017.

Demonstrate an understanding of the main principle behind a quality assurance programme in dental radiography

Demonstrate knowledge of some of the components of a quality assurance programme in dental radiography
