Elaine qualified as a Dental Hygienist in the Royal Air Force where she served for 25 years as a clinician and finally as the Officer Commanding the Tri-Service School of Dental Hygienist Training. Her work with TePe involved designing and delivering a range of educational materials for the profession and the general public. A passionate supporter of health promotion for all, Elaine is a Fellow of the BSDN, an Editorial Board Member of the BSDHT’s Dental Health Journal and the FGDP’s Primary Dental Care. Her interest in smoking cessation and mouth cancer has led to her appointment to the National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) as an expert advisor. |
