Aims

To understand the science behind composite. To understand  the determinants of colour.

To understand the natural layering concept. To understand when to go direct and when to go semi-direct or indirect.

To understand how to manipulate direct composite in the anterior situations.

To provide clinical tips on achieving the best aesthetic results.

Learning outcomes

By the end of the session delegates should :

Know which items of treatment fall within the NHS primary dental care regulations and which do not, and can discuss these with the patient in a manner he or she can understand.

Be able to increase patients awareness of understanding of treatment options and procedures by careful explanations and good communication skills.

Understand and demonstrate modern restorative concepts around minimal invasive techniques.

Be able to discuss the fee structure relating to treatment provided for patients in general practice.
