SubjectCore - Medical Emergencies
DescriptionSuitable for the Dental Team. Patient Safety - GDP's and the Dental Team should be trained in the recognition and management of Sepsis. Sepsis is a leading cause of death in the UK, with 48,000 deaths attributed to Sepsis annually. CQC, GDC & NICE guidelines and expectations are such that Dental Practices are trained in Medical Emergencies and Sepsis is an integrated part of this. This Webinar includes an additional sepsis CPD package to compliment the zoom session. It is suggested that all attendees need to complete this to gain 2 hours CPD in total. The article; 'Management of odontogenic infections & sepsis in the dental practice' - will be accompanied by questions for delegates to complete. This 1 hour CPD package meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcome C. Please note that this session doesn't include the treatment of dental infections.
