Additional information | Speaker Information Dental Therapist at CDS CIC Employee Elected Board Member CDS CIC Training Programme Manager for the Dental Therapy Foundation Training Scheme in the East of England. From 2021 to 2023, I became a Clinical leadership fellow, one of the first in the Midlands. This opportunity led to various projects, written a GDC blog, and a publication in the BADT and The Dentist Magazine. I balanced this role alongside working as a Dental Therapist in Community and in Private Practice. The main project during my fellowship was ‘Project Sphere’ to create a positive patient safety culture. As a group, we created patient safety huddle sheets and a human factors-based supporting document and a positive patient safety webinar. The GDC created a leadership network, in March 2022 I was a panellist. Being involved allowed me to be a voice for Dental Therapists ensuring we are considered when decisions and changes are made. Last year, I was approached by the Eastman Dental Podcast to share my career journey. This allowed me to inspire others with my varied career path. |
