SubjectWorkforce Development
DescriptionThere is a recognised challenge to NHS dental service delivery because of lack of workforce. NHSE Workforce Training and Education Directorate (formerly HEE) is working with partners to help address these issues and fulfil the dental elements of the NHS Long Term Workforce plan. As part of this NHSE WT&E have been working with the Buckinghamshire College Group to enable dental apprenticeships to be delivered in Thames Valley. The first of these will be the Dental Nurse Apprenticeship which is due to start in September 2024.
