| Learning outcomes | Learning outcomes: By the end of the session the learner will be able to: · Identify when a child or vulnerable person may be at risk of harm · Demonstrate what must be included and understood by staff in a safeguarding policy · Explain what courses of action would be taken when a safeguarding concern regarding a child or vulnerable adult arises. · Identify the legal issues relevant to applying the Mental Capacity Act. · Explain the impact on dental practice following the refresh of the ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’ guidance (July 2018) · PREVENT o Outline the purpose of Prevent in the health sector o Demonstrate knowledge of the Prevent referral process and its outcomes o Access further training, if required |
