DescriptionAn overview of all forms of tooth discolouration and the various techniques used to treat them will be covered. In addition, the theory of shade taking for both restorations fabricated in the mouth and in laboratories will be discussed. The various techniques will be shown on natural and artificial teeth for the 'hands-on' part of the course. Participants will be able to perform the various techniques for themselves.

  2. To gain knowledge of all techinques available to treat various discolouration with appropriate indications and contraindications.

  4. To understand the theory of shade taking and to enable participants to take shades with the new systems avaialable for composites used directly in the mouth and ceramic restorations fabricated in laboratories.
