| Description | This evening is entirely devoted to Dental Nurses and Student Dental Nurses. The Sixth of these monthly meetings for Dental Nurses in the south region Ox/Bucks/Berks/Hamps/I.O.W) will be delivered via Webinar. There will be an hour's CPD in which our speaker Andrea Griffin will talk about 'Managing Mindset: Kicking self-doubt and building confidence for Dental Care Professionals'. Following this will be an open forum and peer review discussion chaired by our guest speaker and the Tutor facilitating. | ||
| Additional information | Andrea has over 25 years in Dentistry, starting out as qualified dental nurse, and qualifying as a Dental Hygienist from the Eastman in 2002. Also, she was awarded the' Oral B award for outstanding patient management & motivation'. In 2011, she qualified as a Dental Practice Manager. She has an Award in Education & Training (QCF) and counselling skills, and trained to be a bereavement counsellor for CRUSE. More recently, she gained a Personal Performance Diploma in coaching with The Coaching Academy, endorsed by The International Coaching Federation; and is also a qualified NLP Practitioner. *This webinar is suitable for Dental Nurses, will be delivered via MS Teams and an email with joining instructions and a short a guide to remote learning will be sent to you at least 24 hours before the course starts. Please log in early to check your IT supports MS Teams and check that your microphone is off but your camera is on (you can upload a background of your choice for privacy) signing in using your Deanery registered name helps us to confirm your attendance. Logging onto to Webinar will be from 18:20. | Aims | The forum has been set up to give dental nurses an ability to network and have support for wellbeing plus be empowered to progress and further their career. To raise awareness around the importance of managing a positive and productive mindset as a DN, and the importance of building confidence. Giving the audience a better understanding and tips & tricks to help manage their mindset. To recognize self doubt and/or negative mindset, before it becomes a potential issue to self or others. | ||
| Objectives | To discuss ways in which individuals can increase their self confidence, help build and manage a positive mindset in the clinical setting, and everyday life! To apply positive ways and actions, discuss tools and techniques to encourage and maintain a confident mindset. | ||
