2. Explain who can and should be referred, and who should not 
3. List strategies for managing patients who are on waiting lists for Community Dental Services initial assessment
4. Explain how to make referrals to Community Dental Services in the Thames Valley and Wessex area. (Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire & Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire)

1. Identify patients who will benefit from a referral to Community Dental Services

2. Make an appropriate referral to Community Dental Services

3. Manage dental care of patients who are awaiting a Community Dental Services initial assessment
