DescriptionThe world of running dental practices has changed over the past few years. Practice Managers have to deal with many issues such as NHS regulations, The GDC guidelines and Care Quality Commission and litigation. This four day programme is designed to provide the practice manager with information and knowledge of how to run a successful a dental practice. The programme consists of 4 day workshops. There will be two units per workshop (8 units in total). Each workshop will consist of 6 hours CPD and there will be group work to facilitate peer learning and interaction. This programme can help with preparation for more advanced courses such as those provided by the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Additional information

There will be four workshops with one workshop every twelve weeks commencing 24th June 2016. This allows time for reflection in between each workshop, allowing any work to be completed (such as working towards dementia friendly practice).

Aims

To become a proficient, knowledgeable practice manager for the modern day practice, with the ability to deal with leadership and compliance.

Objectives

1. Develop a fabulous customer service with the ability to delegate efficiently

2. Create a dementia friendly practice with effective health and safety risk management

3. Be able to comply with the laws and regulations that govern dentistry, including compliant CQC inspections and have a functioning, proactive business on well run premises

4. Have the ability to create a marketing strategy to raise practice profile and develop financial revenue skills for a thriving business then finally develop a professional development programme that reflects an increase in skill and ability.
