DescriptionA day course of presentations and hands-on sessions using pigs jaws / models in order to increase the confidence and knowledge of the participants to successfully undertake minor oral surgery procedures within their own practice settings.
Additional informationThe course should enable participants to:
• Choose appropriate surgical cases for treatment
• Carry out extraction of simple impacted third molars
• Carry out extraction of retained roots
• Improve general surgical skills

This course is suitable for dentists.

Catherine Sternberg BDS FDSRCS GDC69527 is a Lead Consultant Oral Surgeon and works in hospital and practice. She lectures on the deanery introduction to NHS dentistry lecture series and examines for the Royal College of Surgeons, England and Edinburgh.

Suzanne Abell trained at UMDS Guy's Hospital in Dentistry and qualified in 1987. After a series of house officer/ senior house officer jobs in Oral Medicine and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, went into practice as a general dentist with a special interest in Minor Oral Surgery.
She became a Staff Grade in Oral Surgery at the John Radcliffe in 2001 where she works part time.
Suzanne took her MFDS in 2004 at the RCS London.
