Aims
  1. Describe the nature of FTE and the general requirements for FTE posts, so as to demonstrate a uniform understanding of what will be achieved through the training programme
  2. Outline key evidence used to demonstrate COPDEND’s competencies against which applications for FTE are assessed, so as to take more responsibility for own learning at the outset
  3. Identify current position together with immediate and future learning needs, and demonstrate knowledge of the lifelong learning process, so as to demonstrate own professional responsibility in the development of self and the rest of the team
  4. Explain the clinical audit method and peer review process, so as to recognise the difference and how each can be used to reflect on and review practice, thereby improving care for patients
  5. Use a reflective learning model to self-assess and reflect upon own professional knowledge, skills, capabilities and limitations, and demonstrate insight into own strengths, weaknesses and development needs, so as to provide the highest standards of patient care
