DescriptionThis course will concentrate on protecting vulnerable adult patients including the Mental Capacity Act and will familiarise staff with recognising and understanding dementia.
Additional informationJo Wilkins is the Safeguarding Adults Manager at Reading Borough Council, Jo is a qualified social worker and has experience of managing a care provision.
Jo has the operational lead for safeguarding at Reading, advising and supporting colleagues who investigate allegations of abuse. Chairing multi agency strategy meeting's, devising and implementing action plans to protect vulnerable people.
Jo recently completed a secondment to Berkshire Healthcare Trust to update and implement the safeguarding policy.
