Objectives

Following this course learners should :

1. Understand the legislation, guidance and procedures to safeguard children

2. Have learned to spot the signs of physical injury, neglect, emotional and sexual abuse of children

3. Understand ‘duty of care’ obligations

4. Know how to raise a safeguarding alert
