DescriptionThis course will offer an update on important topics in oral medicine, diagnosis and therapeutics. The course will cover areas of relevance to general dental practice as well as less common conditions. There will be opportunity for interaction, with time for discussion and questions.

Dr Mike Pemberton, Consultant in Oral Medicine, University Dental Hospital of Manchester.
Mike Pemberton took undergraduate dental and medical degrees at the University of Sheffield, together with various junior dental and medical hospital posts, before becoming a Senior Registrar in Manchester. He became a Consultant in Manchester in 2000, and currently is also Clinical Director of the Dental Hospital.

Professor Philip Sloan, Consultant and Honorary Professor of Oral Pathology, Newcastle Dental Hospital and School. Phil Sloan completed his early training in Bristol where he completed a PhD. He was appointed as a senior lecturer and then Professor of Oral Pathology at the University of Manchester in 1985. He relocated to Newcastle in 2007, where he is a head and neck pathologist and regional Training Programme Director for histopathology.
