Aims
  1. To be able to demonstrate an understanding of safe, effective and legal prescribing and monitoring, including appropriate use of the British National Formulary
  2. Assess the need for, prescribe and where appropriate administer pharmacotherapeutic agents in the safe treatment of all dental patients
  3. Prescribe and monitor the use of chemotherapeutic agents in order to assist in the prevention of dental caries
  4. A thorough understanding of common drug interactions and side effects, and manage situations appropriately when they occur
