DescriptionSuccessful dental management of children for your clinical care -This course will enhance the prevention and clinical management of children of all ages under your clinical care. -The speaker has chosen 4 key points to make the management of children more successful when dental care is required. It will focus on: -current prevention measures for children and teenagers -Non-invasive treatment techniques of carious primary teeth -Enamel defects and their consequences in the short, medium and long term -Management of trauma at initial presentation in your surgery This course is intended for Dental Core Trainees Joanna Johnson Joanna is a Consultant in paediatric dentistry. After qualifying from Newcastle University with a BDS (Merit child Dental Health), Joanna held numerous Senior House Officer Posts in oral and maxillofacial surgery and paediatric dentistry. She was awarded Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002. This allowed entry to specialist training which was undertaken at Guy's Hospital, London. She completed a Masters course in Paediatric Dentistry in 2005 and gained her Membership in Paediatric Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2006. completion of Specialist training was in 2009 after a further 2 years and Guys hospital. She currently works as a Consultant in paediatric dentistry at Guy's and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust and in private practice. She has published and presented in the field of paediatric dentistry a
