Nigel Foot
Nigel Foot B.D.S., M.Sc., M.R.D.R.C.S.(Eng)
Nigel Foot qualified from Newcastle University in 1979. After two years in hospital oral surgery, he entered general dental practice.
During this time, he developed an interest in endodontics and gained his MSc in 1994. Nigel has a practice limited to endodontics at the Briars Dental Centre in Newbury, Berkshire that he began in 1995.
In 1996, he gained the Membership in Restorative Dentistry (Endodontics), at the Royal College of Surgeons, London and Glasgow and was admitted to the Endodontic Specialist Register in 1999.
Nigel has a keen interest in endodontic education and has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has taught at Guys and St. Thomas’s Dental School and for the Royal College of Surgeons of England and was a joint founding member of the Langham Endodontic Study Group. He lectures extensively on endodontic topics to general practioner groups and is currently a part-time teacher at the Eastman Continuing Professional Development Centre in London. He has lectured in Italy, the Irish Republic and Sweden and contributed a Chapter in “Pitt-Ford’s Problem-Based Learning in Endodontology” Edited by Patel and Duncan. Nigel’s special interests include all aspects of endodontic therapy and physiology of the dental pulp.
