This hands on course has an experienced lecturer and will aim to provide the participants (at all levels of experience) an opportunity to develop clinical skills for a wide range of surgical techniques required for the practice of minor oral surgery.
It is suitable for dental practitioners intending to build on the minor oral surgery skills as an undergraduate and through vocational training and experience in general dental practice.

The format for the day will be: short PowerPoint and video presentations on techniques, practical training demonstrated on animal model pigs’ jaws.

This course is intended for GDPs

Since his appointment in 2004 Arun Majumdar has been actively involved in teaching and organising regional study days and training courses for DF1’s and DF2’s and general dental practitioners and general practitioners both in Oxford Deanery and East of England Deanery. He also teaches on ATLS courses and is a surgical trainer for specialty trainees in maxillofacial surgery. He is an examiner for the FGDP for the Certificate in Minor Oral Surgery.
In addition to his NHS practice covering all aspects of general oral and maxillofacial surgery Arun has a sub specialist interest in treatment of facial deformity and trauma, TMJ disease and salivary gland disease. He provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary care for complex dental implant patients at his exclusive private practice at Enhance Aesthetics in Leighton Buzzard.

Arun will be assisted by his nurse, Jessica Jenkins.
