DescriptionResuscitation Council (UK) Standards recommends dental professional update their practical basic life support skills at least annually. This hands-on course will focus on CPR techniques and management of the ill patient. It should complement practice-based training, not replace it.

Nicky Bartholomew RDN FHEA, GDC 108759 qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1983. Since then Nicky has worked in a variety of specialist settings including children’s dental services, special needs dental care, and in orthodontic practice. She has also worked in general practice, community dental services and at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Cosham. Until recently Nicky was a Dental Care Professional Tutor at the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy, helping students to gain their qualifications in dentistry. She left to join a specialist orthodontic practice in Chichester. Nicky is an inspirational teacher and now lectures at postgraduate level across Wessex
