| Additional information | Whole clinical Team Nick Baker, GMC 3324787, BDS (Hons) MBBS FDS RCS FRCS (OMFS) undertook dental undergraduate training in Sheffield and then studied medicine at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London. He was appointed Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon in 1997 and now provides maxillofacial services to Southampton, Winchester and Guernsey. Nick’s special interests include the management of patients with facial deformity, head and neck skin cancer, salivary gland disease and cranio-maxillofacial trauma. He also takes an active role in teaching minor oral surgery to dental postgraduates and has sat on the Speciality Advisory Committee in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from 2006-12, most recently as Chairman, with responsibility for overseeing UK wide training in the specialty. Nick was awarded the gold medal for the best overall performance in the FRCS examination in 1995 and received the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons' Surgery Prize in 2006 as a result of his outstanding contribution to the specialty within 10-years of his consultant appointment. |
