Aims
  1. The foundation dentist can demonstrate to an appropriate standard the ability to: • FTE forms and guidance • Portfolio of evidence to demonstrate competency against the Committee of Postgraduate Deans and Directors (COPDEND) requirements • Personal Development Plans (PDPs) • Clinical audit • Critical reflection in everyday practice.
  2. •Be able to develop an evidence-based portfolio in order to demonstrate competency against COPDEND requirements for FTE. -Be better equipped to engage seriously in PDP; identify personal goals and work towards them. •(Trainers will) be able to provide educational and clinical support for dentists undertaking FTE.
  3. •Have learned about clinical audit and critical reflection in order to continuously improve services to patients. •An overview of course requirement for sign-off
