DescriptionThis evening is entirely devoted to Dental Nurses and Student Dental Nurses. The third of these monthly meetings for Dental Nurses in the south region Ox/Bucks/Berks/Hamps/I.O.W) will be delivered via Webinar. There will be an hour's CPD in which our speaker Sandra Smith looks at current infection prevention and control requirements. She will also talk about her role and the career pathway from dental nurse to infection control advisor. Following this will be an open forum and peer review discussion chaired by our guest speaker and the Tutor facilitating.
Additional information

Sandra specializes in Dental Infection Control and carries out audits and training for dental providers and their support staff. Sandra has been involved in incident investigations and provides technical advice on practice layout and design as well as compliance with national infection control and decontamination guidance. Sandra started her career as a Dental Nurse in 1994 and has worked in both NHS and private dental practices. She was appointed Senior Dental Nurse for Wandsworth PCT in 2001 responsible for running the communicable disease dental clinic. Sandra also has worked as a bank inspector for the Care Quality Commission.

*This webinar is suitable for Dental Nurses, will be delivered via MS Teams and an email with joining instructions and a short a guide to remote learning will be sent to you at least 24 hours before the course starts. Please log in early to check your IT supports MS Teams and check that your microphone is off but your camera is on (you can upload a background of your choice for privacy) signing in using your Deanery registered name helps us to confirm your attendance. Logging onto to Webinar will be from 18:20.
