| Additional information | Exploring history, Exam, Treatment planning, consent, managing patient's expectations Master Impressions, Try in of framework, Bite Registration, Try in, Fitting To discuss the importance of Occlusion This course is intended for Dental Core Trainees Assad Khan ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS 2013 ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS OF EDINBURGH Membership in Prosthodontics – Specialist Qualification 2010 – 2012 UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON Masters in Clinical Dentistry (Prosthodontics) – Passed with Distinction 2008 – 2009 ROYAL COLLEGE OF SURGEONS OF ENGLAND Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties 2002 – 2007 KING’S COLLEGE, UNIVERSITY OF LONDON Bachelor of Dental Surgery at Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals 1997 – 2002 WELLINGBOROUGH SENIOR SCHOOL, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE 3 GCE ‘A’ Levels: Mathematics (A), Biology (B), Chemistry (B) 9 GCSEs: Grades A* – B (including English & Mathematics) KEY CLINICAL SKILLS POSSESSED Following extensive postgraduate training I am competent with: •Full mouth rehabilitations using both an adhesive and conventional approach. •Surgical placement and restoration of dental implants. •Aesthetic rehabilitations with composite resin restorations and porcelain laminate veneers. •Treatment of edentulous patients with conventional complete dentures and implant retained/supported overdentures. •Treatment of partially dentate patients with cobalt-chrome partial dentures. •Previous experience in the Community Dental Services enables me to empathise and manage anxious patients as well as children who have previously been unable to be managed in a general practice setting. •Experience as a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery allowed me to develop a good range of surgical skills which has been consolidated with implant training at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute. |
