Roy Patel 52241 Specialist Prosthodontist.
Roy Patel qualified at the Royal Dental Hospital, Leicester Square, London.
He has a Masters of Law degree in 'Legal aspect of medical practice'.
After various hospital positions, he was an academic and clinical lecturer at Royal Dental Hospital, Leicester Square and Guys hospital teaching undergraduate students.
He currently gives academic and clinical courses and holds a clinic at the Basingstoke Hospital where he is a Restorative Hospital Practitioner.
He is a specialist in Prosthodontics (anything artificial in the mouth - dentures, bridges, implants etc). Accredited by the G.D.C.
His interests are Restorative and Cosmetic Dentistry.

Aims
  1. Crept1. Obtain and interpret diagnostic casts, take radiographs and gather other relevant data in formulating a diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan for patients requiring prosthodontic treatment.
  2. Crept2. Evaluate, select and prepare teeth, and evaluate residual ridges, to support and retain fixed and removable prostheses.
  3. crept3. Provide biomechanically sound fixed or removable prostheses. Crept4. Diagnose, plan, deliver and maintain removable partial and complete dentures
  4. Crept5. Prescribe to, and communicate with, the dental laboratory accurately, and assess the quality of the work completed by laboratory technicians
