DescriptionThe aims of this course are to help with the protection of children and vulnerable adults through increased awareness, recognition and prompt referral, and to provide delegates with the most up-to-date information about the legality of their contracts. Our speakers will discuss the following: * Key standards of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults * How to recognise signs of abuse * How to manage and respond to concerns, allegations and disclosures about abuse * How to be dementia-aware and able to signpost appropriate support * Child/vulnerable adult protection legislation, guidance and procedures * UK employment legislation and contracts for dentists. This course is one of a number of courses designed to provide an introduction to NHS dentistry and is essential for dentists who are undertaking FTE. This course is also suitable for dentists who are new to the NHS and dentists returning to NHS practice. Other dentists can book to attend if places remain available 14 days in advance of the course. She spent 7 years in the Royal Naval Dental Service and was then appointed Area Practice Manager for a dental corporate with responsibility for 16 practices in London and the South.
