DescriptionSince the introduction of “HTM 0105 Decontamination in Primary Dental Practices” Dental Professionals are required to move their practices towards “Best Practice”. This course will assist members of the dental team to re-assess their infection control, disinfection and decontamination procedures. It will demonstrate how practice teams can work together to satisfy HTM 0105 and clinical governance requirements. The course duly covers GDC CPD core subject requirement.

Dr Martin Fulford BDS MPHIL DGDP FIBMS, GDC 61504 spent 13 years in medical microbiology before qualifying as a dentist. He then combined general dental practice and research, with particular emphasis on infection control, before retiring from clinical dentistry 17 years later. Martin has published numerous peer reviewed papers and a textbook on infection control in dentistry. He is currently a member of an ISO working group on microbial contamination in dental unit waterlines and lectures worldwide on the prevention and control of infections in the dental setting.
