Nicholas Taylor qualified in 1978 from Guys Hospital. He is in partner in a thirteen surgery practice in the GDS with a UDA contract, and until recently a partner in a nine surgery pilot practice, utilising skill mix and delivering undergraduate dentist and therapist training. Nicholas has also worked in secondary care oral surgery, East Lancs PCT and the North Western Deanery during his career and is now Director of Postgraduate Education for Health Education North West (North Western Deanery).


Ms Kathryn Dobson: Qualified as a Dental Therapist in 2006 (with Distinction) from the University of Liverpool and I also hold qualifications in Dental Nursing and Oral Health Education.

I have worked in dentistry since 1988 in various roles including; Dental Nurse, Practice Manager, Dental Manufacturer Representative and I currently work in Burnley, Lancashire as a Dental Therapist and Honorary Dental Therapy Tutor for the University of Liverpool.

I am also an examiner for the National Examination Board for Dental Nurses (NEBDN) and I deliver study days to Dentists and DCPs. My most recent appointment is Fitness to Practice panel member for the General Dental Council (GDC).
