She established trainee appraisal in Anaesthesia and trains consultant appraisers in her Trust, where she is on the appraisal committee for revalidation. As chair of the AAGBI Support and Wellbeing Committee she uses experience gained on the National Clinical Assessment Service ‘Network of Expertise’. Her 15 years of Deanery experience included managing flexible training, being Dean Director for Specialty training, with responsibility for 56 specialty programmes and briefly Lead Dean for two specialties. From this she has experience in curriculum development and delivery, workforce planning, recruitment and assessment. She has a Diploma in Education. Out of work, life revolves round her 4 children. When time allows, she enjoys riding her 25 year old fell pony, sailing a mirror dinghy cautiously round the bay, gardening or rather talentless piano playing. |
