I am an oral surgeon working in private practice and also at Poole community dental clinic.
I provide a peripatetic oral surgery service to 5 different private practices across Hampshire. I am also a practice owner and run Christchurch Centre for Dentistry.
I have gained my oral surgery skills while initially working as an SHO at Newcastle general hospital and the QA hospital in Portsmouth and later as a Staff grade in oral and Maxillofacial surgery at Southampton General Hospital. I held this post for 10 years, before leaving to work in private practice.
I gained my BDS from Newcastle university in 1998 then my MFDS RCS(Ed) in 2002 and my MSurgDent in 2008
I have also completed the Royal College of Surgeons implant diploma training in 2012.

  1. To understand basic concepts of dental implants
  2. To enable the trainee to treatment plan appropriately and gain informed consent
  3. To enable the trainee to understand the concepts and surgical techniques associated with atraumatic extractions, bone grafting and sinus lifts – concepts and surgical technique
  4. The trainee will be able to use study models and radiographs to plan for implant placement
