Aims
  1. The objectives of this course are to help with the protection of children and vulnerable adults through increased awareness, recognition and prompt referral, and to provide delegates with the most up-to-date information about the legality of their contracts. Our speakers will discuss the following: • Key standards of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults
  2. • How to recognise signs of abuse • How to manage and respond to concerns, allegations and disclosures about abuse • How to be dementia-aware and able to signpost appropriate support • Child/vulnerable adult protection legislation, guidance and procedures • UK employment legislation and contracts for dentists.
  3. •Be able to apply knowledge of UK employment legislation to understand the validity of their contracts •Be able to identify various types of legal issues when encountering them in the workplace and the legal remedies available under employment laws Be able to identify the signs and behaviours that may indicate abuse is taking place and be dementia-aware •Have an increased awareness of safeguarding procedures and how to report concerns
