I have been a resuscitation officer for 9 years and prior to that I worked aboard the cruise ships as a nurse. I am a qualified Intensive Care Nurse and have worked in renal medicine and acute medicine. I have a PGCE and I love education

Aims
  1. To prepare the Dental Trainees for working in the acute hospital setting in relation to the deteriorating patient
  2. To teach a systematic approach to assessing and managing a deteriorating patient
  3. To ensure the Dental Trainees are able to respond to and manage a patient in cardiac arrest by performing Basic Life Support until the cardiac arrest team arrive
