DescriptionWe are pleased to offer a 5 hour parallel CPD session. Understand the reasons why patients receive a method of conscious sedation to receive dental treatment.
Additional informationKnow the forms that conscious sedation take and how they act on the body.
Confidently monitor a patient in the event of a medical emergency arising in the dental surgery and recognise any associated equipment.
Understand the difference between plain film and digital imaging.
Process a plain film image receptor and change the processing solutions.
Recognise some basic film faults if ever presented with them again.
Discuss the quality assurance associated with both plain film and digital imaging.
Understand their role as an IRMER Operator who doesn’t take X-rays.

Nikki Rogers is a Dental Nurse Tutor from Bristol Dental Hospital, who has many years experience in teaching dental nurses. Nikki is also the Chairperson of the NEBDN Committee for dental radiography.
