| Aims | - After previously visiting the GDC and gaining a strategic overview of its operations, this sessions will enable the FD to gain a greater understanding of the workings of the GDC through role play and observational learning, focusing on the skills and knowledge that is required to meet GDC Standards, and how the precise observation of those guidelines has to be implemented into day to day in general practice.

- PRe1. Understanding and the application of the principles of GDC publications on standards for dental professionals,
PRe2. Understanding and the application of the principles of ethical behaviour relevant to dentistry, including honesty, confidentiality, personal and professional integrity and appropriate moral values.
- PRe5. FD is able to explain in appropriate detail the actions available to be taken with regard to those colleagues who are underperforming or behaving unethically.
- MLl7. Understanding the definitions of the legal & ethical obligations of a dental practitioner and the definition of fitness to practice according to the GDC.
