DescriptionThis course is suitable for DCPs: Dental nurses, Student dental nurses, Therapists, Hygienists, Clinical Dental Technicians and Dental Technicians. It is a two hour course which will enable them to deal effectively with NHS and Private complaints. The GDC recommends that DCPs carry out CPD in complaint handling during each 5 year CPD cycle. The speaker, Jo Russell RDN Cert DPM Cert Ed MlfL LCGI, GDC 10942, has over 26 years of experience in the dental profession and has acquired considerable expertise in all areas of the business of dentistry. She spent 7 years in the Royal Naval Dental Service and was then appointed to Area Practice Manager for a dental corporate where she was responsible for 16 practices in the London area. Jo holds a Certificate in Education and passed the NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety with distinction. She is a popular and enthusiastic teacher about the CQC, practice management, health and safety at work, radiation protection, clinical governance, complaints handling, legal and ethical issues and communication. Jo also spends time assessing dental nurses for their Diploma and helps dental practices to become CQC compliant with a hand-holding consultancy service.
