DescriptionA three hour course for DCPs describing the causes of infections, and discussing how their transmission in the dental surgery can be prevented.
Additional informationThe GDC requirement for DCPs is 5 hours verifiable CPD in this subject in each 5 year cycle. This is an update course, designed to contribute towards the GDC requirement for DCPs: Dental nurses, Student dental nurses, Therapists, Hygienists, Clinical Dental Technicians and Dental Technicians.
But *NOT* Dentists.
The speaker, Jo Russell RDN Cert DPM Cert Ed MIfL LCGI, GDC 10942, has over 26 years of experience in the dental profession and has acquired considerable expertise in all areas of the business of dentistry. She spent 7 years in the Royal Naval Dental Service and was then appointed to Area Practice Manager for a dental corporate where she was responsible for 16 practices in the London area. Jo holds a Certificate in Education and passed the NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety with distinction. She is a popular and enthusiastic teacher about the CQC, practice management, health and safety at work, radiation protection, clinical governance, complaints handling, legal and ethical issues and communication. Jo also spends time assessing dental nurses for their Diploma and helps dental practices to become CQC compliant with a hand-holding consultancy service.
