Helen Oakes qualified as a nurse in 2001 working in Respiratory/General Medicine/Elderly Care. In January 2011 Helen took on the Lead role of Adult Safeguarding and Lead Nurse for Older people.

David Sills qualified in 2003 as a Mental Health Nurse; qualified as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) specialising for people with psychosis in 2007. He completed MSc in Healthcare management in 2010. David is currently employed at HWPH NHS Trust working with people with dementia.

  2. To be able to list categories of abuse and describe the indicators of abuse. Know how to act on concerns and disclosures.
  3. To understand the process of sharing information and the process following referral.
  4. Including the Mental Health Capacity Act.
