DescriptionThis core course will provide information about radiography and radiation protection for dental professionals who do not take radiographs.
Additional informationOur speaker will cover the following topics:
• The Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999 [IRR99] and The Ionising Radiation Medical Exposure Regulations 2000 [IR(ME)R]
• Properties of x-rays
• Dental radiography techniques
• Radiation safety
• Quality assurance.

This course is intended for dental care professionals who do not take radiographs. It is NOT an IRMER course.

Sonia Jones RDH CFET, GDC number 5754, works as a Dental Hygienist in Torquay and Bristol and is a DCP Tutor for the South West Deanery, providing CPD to dental care professionals across the South of England. In addition, she teaches the National Diploma to Dental Nurses and is an Examiner for the NEBDN.
