DescriptionThis evening course will raise awareness about safeguarding vulnerable adults from abuse. The training reflects your own abuse, whistleblowing and professional boundaries procedures as well as that of the relevant administering authority. Our speaker will consider best practice and relevant legislation, including the Mental Capacity Act 2005.

Nigel Faiers has worked in the care and support sector since 1988, including eight years at a senior management level. He has been delivering training full time since November 2003. Up until 2003 Nigel managed a large portfolio of nursing/care homes, supported living, domiciliary care provision and floating support services for a Housing Association. Client groups included the elderly, young people, single homelessness, learning disabilities, mental health, domestic violence and drugs/alcohol. Before coming into the care and support sector, Nigel’s background involved public speaking and work in secondary school education. Nigel is a qualified trainer (PTLLS and CTLLS) and member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. Nigel has run training courses across England & Scotland and also trained the trainers for a leading Abuse Awareness charity.
