DescriptionDental trauma is very common, especially amongst children. History taking, examination and following a strict protocol are key to establishing the right diagnosis and helping us to take the best course of action for our patient. Correct management of trauma can have a significant impact on our patient’s dental health long term and it is vital all dental care professionals recognise the most common injuries and how best to treat them.

Dr Nik Sethi qualified from King's College London in 2009. He has a Master of Science degree in aesthetic dentistry (KCL). Since then he has established himself in private practice in London, with a keen interest for restorative treatment and endodontics. Nik has attended several highly respected year courses on restorative dental training including a year course with Tidu Mankoo and Basil Mizrahi. He is also on the executive council of the British Academy of Aesthetic dentistry and a full member. Nik provides regular teaching courses on composite restorations and is regularly featured in Dentistry Magazine, writing a series of articles aimed at educating younger dentists.

Aims

Understand the most common dental injuries we see in practice
