DescriptionPeriodontitis is a common condition that can be difficult to detect in its early stages but which can have far reaching consequences for oral and systemic health if left to progress. This course covers the identification, diagnosis and management of periodontal diseases, concentrating on early detection and prevention, motivating patients to manage their own periodontal problems and avoiding dento-legal pitfalls. It will aim to show how every member of the dental practice team can have a part to play in the management of periodontal disease.
