DescriptionThis HANDS-ON course will cover the most important aspects of adhesive dentistry for performing all types of bonding procedures. Topics covered will include: * Principles of adhesive dentistry * Best bonding systems and techniques * Treatment planning for successful clinical applications of adhesive techniques * Principles of adhesive bridge design * Precise instructions for speedy application of rubber dam. * Hands-on restoration of teeth using direct composite veneers * Hands-on restoration of edentulous space with natural tooth pontic. Hands-on practices will be performed in the well equipped Phantom Head facility at the University of Portsmouth Dental Academy. The course is run in an informal setting where lively debate is encouraged! This essential course will provide training to enhance the acquisition of new clinical skills and enable practitioners to gain confidence in the delivery of high quality dentistry that can be delivered under NHS and private contract. In addition, CPD offered by the Deanery provides best value-for-money training, an opportunity to meet fellow dental professionals and, will also provide evidence to help practices achieve compliance against CQC outcomes.
